Product Structure
The WPDKA integrates four functional zones in one compact housing. The flange input face (IEC/NEMA standard bolt pattern) mates directly to the motor face, transferring rotation without an intermediate coupling. Inside, a hardened alloy steel worm shaft meshes with a phosphor-bronze worm wheel to achieve the selected ratio with low backlash. The hollow bore output is supported by dual pre-loaded tapered roller bearings that handle both radial and axial loads from the conveyor shaft. An oil-level sight glass, drain plug, and breather cap are all accessible without disassembly.

What motor flange standards does the WPDKA support?
The WPDKA accepts IEC B5 and B14 flange motors as standard. Custom flanges for NEMA frame motors are available on request. Flange dimensions (LA, LB, LC, LE, LZ) are listed in the specification table above for each size.
Can the hollow output bore be customised?
Yes. Standard hollow bore diameters (S) range from 16 mm to 110 mm depending on size. We can machine non-standard bores, keyways, or shrink-disc interfaces for OEM orders. Please provide shaft diameter and torque requirements.
Which lubricant should I use for the WPDKA?
For ambient temperatures −30 °C to 40 °C use ISO VG220–320 mineral gear oil. For 40 °C–65 °C ambient, ISO VG320–460. Change oil after the first 100 hours, then every 2500 operating hours thereafter.
What is the maximum output torque of the WPDKA series?
Size 250 at ratio 1/60 delivers up to 3025 N·m output torque at 1500 r/min input speed. For lower input speeds (e.g. 1000 r/min), consult the torque-ratio tables in the product datasheet or contact our engineering team.
Is the WPDKA suitable for outdoor or dusty environments?
The standard unit has IP55-equivalent protection. For harsh outdoor, high-dust, or wash-down environments, we recommend pairing with an external shaft guard and using synthetic grease-packed bearings. Special IP65 oil-seal configurations are available on request.
